The show must go on....

Pheeewww... Glad that weeks over. The kids have gone to music/drama camp all week and the big performance was Sunday night!! They did awesome!!

The kids worked so hard. Especially Kyle who had over 40 lines and a solo to memorize.( which he wasn't given the part until Wednesday) they studied all day at camp then we practiced until bed time every night when they got home. By Sunday even I was loosing my voice. Haha( I'm sure my family was happy about that)

Skyler did great. She only had one line. It was a memory verse, but out if the six girls she is the only one that had hers memorized. She was so proud of herself. During the singing and dancing she would look at us to make sure we were watching and she'd stop dancing and just smile like she was posing for a picture and wave.

Mason on the other hand, well lets just say show biz isn't his thing;) For the most part he was just standing up there daydreaming until Kyle whispers "Mason it's your turn"(which Kyle is wearing a mic so everyone can hear it). Oh....but when he does get into it, he really gets into it. He dances like a mad man. I thought he was going to bring the whole set down at one point. Matt and I were cracking up watching him. I think I had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard.

Kyle's solo was a rap. He really got into his character, Soulman Mac. There was a mess up about half way through where another child lead the scene with the wrong line so everyone followed suit. When it was time for the next scene everyone got confused and didn't know what to do. They just had to redo the same scene and they quickly recovered. Kyle was upset with himself for the mistake but with much encouragement from us and all the audience members, people calling and text what a great job he did, I am sure it turned into a very positive experience that he will peruse more in the future.
